"Sobei wase" is a native variety of the Shonai region, which is the parent of "Kamenoo", which is called "phantom sake rice", and is now more than Kamenoo. It has become a rare existence. The seed was taken from the Paddy Field Agricultural Experiment Station, Yamagata Prefectural Agricultural Research Center, and over the years, the planted area has increased and revived in the present age.
