Senkin Shuzo (Domaine Senkin) is the oldest “kura” (brewery) in Tochigi prefecture, dating to 1806. Two brothers, representing the 11th generation, have been responsible for giving a modern twist to traditional sake. Elder brother Kazuki Usui, a former wine sommelier, is applying his wine knowledge to refine the sake style at Senkin. He believes that sake can express terroir (local characteristics), like wine does.

Senkin Kakumei "Kamosu" is a rare kijoshu style Japanese sake brewed bySenkin Shuzo in Tochigi Prefecture, featuring an alcohol content of 15%. It replaces standard brewing water with top-tier aged sake, utilizes rice varieties like KamenoO and Yamadanishiki, and delivers pear, peach, and sweet-acidic notes

A gentle restrained ginjo aroma with notes of banana and cinnamon. On the palate a rich yet delicate sweetness spreads, layered acidity coats the flavor. Mature and refined with a high balance, it achieves a unique profile that is deep yet surprisingly light
