Hakutsuru Nishiki is a sister strain of rice to Yamadanishiki, crossbred from Yamadaho and Wataribune. It was developed over 10 years by the mega-brewery Hakutsuru. It is luxurious, elegant, flavourful and refined.
This is a interesting collaboration between breweries, and showcasing how much Takagi Shuzo enjoys experimenting with different rice types to brew Sake.
This medium-sweet NV Juyondai Banshu Hakutsuru Nishiki Junmai Ginjo is delicious and seductive, offering elegant but opulent notes of white flower, peach, candied cherry and jam. On the palate, it is round, fresh, mellifluous and spicy.
